Taijiquan

Taijiquan is a Chinese movement art that originally evolved from the martial arts and still contains elements of self-defence. It encourages good health and the holistic development of mind and body.

Taijiquan is based on the knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine and the universal principle of change - the Yin Yang principle. The carefully executed movements are fluid and graceful, full of strength and energy. They build the muscles, promote joint flexibility and enhance the range of motion. The physical practice removes blockages in the flow of internal Qi energy, lowering stress and harmonizing the mind, body, and soul. The meditative aspect is just as important, and permeates all levels of the training system.

Taijiquan is recognised as an excellent training system for the preservation and promotion of health, and the statutory health insurance companies reimburse most of the course fees.
